Katoomba RSL Reopening SOON!

A major fire in February 2017 caused extensive damage to the Katoomba RSL ASC in Lurline Street, Katoomba and as a result we have had to rebuild our premises from the ground up. We are very excited to introduce our brand new Club featuring a brand new restaurant and state of the art facilities in July 2019. Keep up to date on our Facebook Page & Website for more information in the lead up to the grand opening.

In the meantime, we encourage our members and guests to visit our other club, Wentworth Falls Bowling Club, Cnr Falls Road & Great Western Highway, Wentworth Falls for dining and gaming options.

Become a member for just $10 (expiry 2020) or update your existing details to ensure you are receiving updates straight from the source regarding the re-building of our new Club facilities, stay up to date with our progress on our website & Facebook page.

Visit our Member Notices Page or our Facebook Page for further information and updates.

The Blue Mountains City Band is a community brass band, sponsored by the Blue Mountains City Council and Katoomba RSL. Its main purpose is to play at local civic events such as Anzac Day and Australia Day. Beyond this, we also regularly perform at various community events such as the Blue Mountains Wintermagic Festival, the Leura Gardens Festival and the Blackheath Rhododendron Parade. We also take part in competitions during the year and are involved in many community Christmas celebrations, including our own annual Christmas Concert at St Hilda's Anglican Church in Katoomba.

A major goal for the band is to nurture brass musicianship in a fun and rewarding environment. We welcome beginners of any age from primary school up, and regularly collaborate with local schools in our concert programs. Adult learners are also welcome to join us, as we believe it is never too late to take up a new instrument or to try for the very first time.
