The Blue Mountains City Band is a brass band, sponsored by the Blue Mountains City Council and Katoomba RSL. Its purpose is to play at civic events and to nurture brass musicianship in a fun and rewarding environment. In recent years the band has played at Anzac Day, Australia Day and Wintermagic. We also take part in competitions during the year and put on a Christmas concert at St Hilda's Anglican Church Katoomba. We welcome beginners of any age from Primary school up. It is never too late to take up a new instrument or to try for the very first time.
